A day in the life with RWP housing officer Cheryl

Latest news

RWP housing officer Cheryl recently visited homes in Nottingham and completed annual reviews, health and safety inspections. She also took time to check in with tenants and support staff, and helped with the moving out process.

Action plan for tenant moving out with support worker Heidi

Cheryl met with support worker Heidi from Community Integrated Care (CIC) to discuss the plan of action for tenant Elliot moving out and provided guidance on the process.

Heidi explained that Elliot would be moving out on a Thursday and asks Cheryl for clarification around the day the tenancy will end and rent payment.

“It will end on the Sunday of that week as you will have to pay the full week. The notice starts on a Monday. It will be a Tuesday when I do my void inspection,” said Cheryl.

They both discuss one of the new tenant’s big passion for trains and his mum’s request to store a small cabin in the garden. Cheryl runs through the approval process. “The tenant’s mum will need to put her request in writing but for some of that bush to come out is not a negative at all,” explains Cheryl.
