A day in the life with RWP housing officer Cheryl

Latest news

RWP housing officer Cheryl recently visited homes in Nottingham and completed annual reviews, health and safety inspections. She also took time to check in with tenants and support staff, and helped with the moving out process.

Talking to tenant Derek about tenant chat groups

Cheryl sat down with Derek and asked him if there is anything that he would like to chat through or if he had any concerns that he would like to raise. Derek talked about his interest in setting up a local tenant chat group to come together with local tenants, and talk about matters that are important to them. He also mentioned his interest in volunteering his time to help in his garden and local gardens to help with maintenance and to improve the spaces, so tenants can enjoy and relax in them.

“It would be nice to get involved in the chat group if they set one up.  I would like to get more involved in it,” said Derek.

Cheryl told Derek that the role of Customer Voice Officer has recently been filled by Clare. “We do have somebody new who has taken on that role that supports tenant chat groups in RWP, so we can put you in touch with them. I think we would have to do a survey and see who would be interested.”

Cheryl and Derek chatted about how tenants could volunteer their time to work on local gardens. “We could do one garden one day at one of the properties and then we could do it at another property and work on the different gardens together. Work together as a community,” suggested Derek.
