Maintenance contractor Ground Control collaborates with RWP
Latest news
Ground Control has been working in partnership with RWP for over 20 years and delivering external maintenance services for us. Read on to find out why the collaboration has been successful, and their services have helped our tenants.
“We initially began working with Reside Housing in 2005 across six locations, and we moved to Progress Housing Group, which RWP is part of, in 2022. Ground Control is an external maintenance provider supporting businesses to create better landscapes, maintain their outside spaces, and sustain biodiversity for the future. We are a maintenance provider with over 50 years of experience in grounds maintenance and land management, and with services beyond the traditional maintenance include arboriculture, ecology services, biodiversity enhancements, and winter gritting. Certified by B-Corp, we use our business as a force for good and are committed to becoming net zero by 2038.

“Ground Control now looks after around 200 sites for RWP, equating to around 3700 planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits per year. As part of our delivery model, we work alongside local field teams. The teams adhere to our quality, safety and environmental onboarding and practices, and it enables passionate businesses to work in their local community. Working with RWP, we have seen our team working at an RWP supported living home in Norfolk complimented for their quality of work. This team has been able to expand their work across 14 locations for RWP.
“Craig, Field Team Owner-Operative, in the Norfolk-based field team was recently highly commended for the completion of preventative maintenance (PPM) work at one of our supported living homes in Norfolk. Working across multiple sites, Craig’s work was recognised by Josh Murray, RWP’s contracts manager, and this was echoed by Emma Last, Service Lead at Ambient. “I just wanted to say how amazing Craig is from Ground Control. He is always so happy, helpful, and always goes above and beyond,” says Josh.
“As a business, we work across multiple sites, but Craig’s work in Norfolk has been highlighted as tenants enjoy seeing Craig and watching him work. Maintenance work at this location include hedge cutting, leaf clearance, shrub pruning, and ensuring the outdoor space is safe and accessible for tenants.”
